My boy othello

Many tragedies contain instigators that help maintain what the reader or veiwer is understanding. To me, the instigator tells the over all story line in their soliloquy by breifly telling about themselves. The character's words with themself and others reflects where the play is headed or what is happening in the present. All the characters in Othello create a map of a tragedy with the words and actions that are presented by each one of them.

Iago, Emilia and Desdemona are a triangle all together which is screwy within itself. Emilia is always there for Desdemona but ALSO for her husband, Iago. Iago is trying to screw Desdemona'a husband without Desdemona knowing Iago's plan. The dramatic irony in that situation is that Emilia is helping her husband the whole time and doesn't even know Desdemona is right in the middle of it. Emilia only wants to make her husband happy yet she's hurting her best friend the whole time. That is a tragedy in its own between Desdemona and Emilia.

Iago, Roderigo, Cassio, and Othello are another story. Iago's jealousy channels into Cassio and that action leads to him and Roderigo fighting it out.

Iago is like a virus that keeps spreading on everyone that creates mini tragedies through out the play. He effected relatioships such as Emilia and Desdemona, and Cassio and Othello. All the small conflicts between the characters lead to the ending-coming from ignorance to knowing.( For all characters except Iago. He found out he wasn't so slick after all).

Iago created the giant tree getting struck by lightening. With out him, all the characters in the play would just be small chunks of grass.

"life's a dance, you learn as you go.."

Having a job, going to school, and extra curricular activities are the obstacles I am trying to over come right this very second. This is my first school year where things aren't coming that easy for me. Everything used to be a synch in the middle school/early highschool days. It's amazing to me how time goes by so fast. It actually brings a tear to my eye sometimes.

Knowing that everything (in my book) happens for a reason, I endure the actions that happen to me whether its good or bad. Hopefully the actions that take place in my life right now are helping me grow up and see things how they really are as an individual.

My job is kicking my butt at this moment. I'm learning more and more everyday not everyone will like me and I won't like everyone I meet in the business world. I'm not gonna lie: it straight up sucks. They teach us in elementary school to treat others the way you want to be treated. That is BS. It starts off that way, but then there is always that little back stabber in your 4th grade class that steals your homework and puts their name on it. Then its all over from there.

I see people as unintentional teachers. The real world outside of our disciplined school and outside our parent ruled homes kind of hide the bad out there in that world of ours. The freedom in my high school career has taught me how to deal with things whether I like them or not. Right now, I see high school as a reality check.

FREEDOM IS ALL I ASK!!!!!!!!

That question is tough. To me it can be either way a person looks at things that happen to them. They can either say "oh, that was all my decision," or "wow, I guess that was meant to be".
I could say I'm a little bit of both depending on what the situation is. At times I am just out to do what I want not having a care in the world. Also, at times I feel that my actions have reactions based on what I did in the past. I am mostly consious of things I do because I don't know what is ahead that will be a 2nd version of my actions. I guess when it boils down to it, I belive in fate, just with SOME free will added.

back in the day

My favorite movie when I was young was Swann Princess. That movie seemed to fascinate me so much with the way the princess would go out into the water and just morph into a swann, or the other way around. The writers kept me so intrigued at the age of four which isn't hard but you got to make it understandable for a toddler. I would watch it everytime I went to my grandma's house. She kept a lot of disney films there so I wouldn't have to cart them back and forth. Imagination also caught my attention in the movie. There were a lot of talking animals. My favorite character was the talking frog who turned into a prince, talking frog at the end. He had so much humor and confidence which grasped my young brain.

Philosophy Shmilosophy

There's a good and bad in everyone. What we talked about in class today really relates to this passage. There's an abstract idea in all people whether it's general or complex. Some ideas you'd never expect within a person. That's why you can't judge too quickly and that's the problem with westerners. We're all out to judge right off the bat. Let's say you're in your car at a red light and man with a long beard, ripped shirt, and one shoe walks by; you're probably gonna lock your doors in 2 seconds. That guy might just be having a bad day......maybe. But it's our natural reaction to feel secure asap when you see sights like that man. Judging is so apparent these days that sometimes the good or the bad is overshadowed by ONE sight, gesture, or statement.

ICOONNNNN BABE!

OPRAH!!!!!!Who does't love her? I chose Oprah because she is a dream maker, a giver, and an unselfish woman who isn't afraid to speak her mind. She's a positive person who people don't mind listening to. Millions of Americans watch her show everyday supporting her ideas anywhere from cooking, fashion, or relationship advice to fighting world hunger. I see Oprah as an Icon because most of America relates to her someway or another. I think she is a positive influence to all ages and can be looked upon as a confident well-liked icon.
